Operation Principles:

Zeolite Demineralizer is a manually operated ion exchange unit. The water passes through the Cation & Anion exchanger. In the Cation exchanger, the resin contains acid radicals to fix mineral or organic Cation present in water and to exchange them with the Hydrogen ion. The Anion exchanger contains basic radicals, able to fix mineral or organic Anions and exchange them with the Hydroxyl ion. Hence the demineralized water is obtained. For Regenerating the system the Cation exchanger is required to be charged with Hydrochloric Acid(HCL) and Anion exchanger with Caustic Soda (NaOH) flakes. Buffer neutralizes the extra alkali and hence helps to maintain the PH of the water.

The quality & Quantity of the D.M water depends on the quality of raw water.
Iron Removal Filter is a must before the Demineralizer if the Iron content in raw water is found to be more than 0.3 ppm.
